A typical engagement:
PHRED facilitators are brought in when a rapid response is needed to a critical issue.
We prefer to have as many stakeholders as possible in the room. In the example of losing a customer, we had the sales, customer support, Application Engineering, and Production control in the meeting room. Representatives from the factories can be included by intranet and conference call. After the meeting, the participants have access to PHRED software to carry on with the actions that have resulted from the meeting, and collect and attach data that supports the issue.The next full meeting of the group can be in person or via net meeting. The information from the last meeting is re-examined and additional data discussed. With all the information, the group works through possible solutions and puts actions in place. During the facilitation, management is well informed with regular status reports, so they know what the group knows and has not yet answered. By reading the reports, it is almost like being there. Upon completion a full problem report out is delivered along with a private analysis of how the group worked together as a team. You can understand where the group's strong and weak points are, so that when the next big problem comes along, you can help them through it.
